About Us

About Project Forward INC. “Failure doesn’t limit us our fears do”! At Project Forward INC., we strive to help those who have fallen on hard times get back on their feet. Our mission is simple: to provide housing and resources to help individuals overcome the barriers that led to their homelessness. In 2019, Project Forward Inc. was established to address the lack of shelter and support services for homeless veterans and single adults. Recognizing the pressing need for action, we launched our mission to make a positive impact on the lives of those who have been forgotten and left behind.

Using a combination of our own funds and donations from generous supporters, we have been able to provide housing and support services to vulnerable individuals. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild their lives and with our program, participants are empowered to do just that.
At Project Forward Inc., we are committed to making a positive impact and helping individuals rebuild their lives. Our program is designed to provide the necessary support and resources to help our clients achieve success and become self-sufficient members of their communities.

Our program is unique in that it requires participants to give back a minimum of 20 hours of their time to a chosen community volunteer activity. This approach fosters a sense of community and encourages participants to take ownership of their lives.
We offer independent housing programs with no time limits for those who qualify. This allows our clients to set personal goals and work towards rebuilding their lives in a safe, supportive environment.

At Project Forward Inc., we maintain a sober program and require all residents to abstain from drug and alcohol use. We understand that addiction can be a challenging obstacle to overcome, and we provide assistance in obtaining treatment and support to help our clients maintain their sobriety.

To ensure accountability, we conduct drug and alcohol testing at intake and randomly throughout the program. This helps us ensure that our residents are staying true to their commitment to sobriety and enables us to provide the necessary support to those who may be struggling.
But we don’t do this alone. This wouldn’t be possible without contributions from our partners, donors, volunteers, dhs, homeless prevention providers, treatment centers, local churches and members of the community Thank you for the support in helping us to change lives!

AFTER THE PROGRAM

Project Forward gets its name from how it functions. It requires current participants to utilize their own gifts and talents to donate 20 hours of their time to help out the local community. Assisting with strengthening and rebuilding Central Minnesota’s communities.

In return for this work we ask that area businesses offer the programs volunteer’s stable employment and housing after graduation. Thus, providing a mutually beneficial relationship with the community and participant.
